Sometimes logic can be deceiving....But there is balance in everything we do; and the simplest thing in the world can be most joyous to us.
Sometimes logic can be deceiving.
What meets our eyes
may not be all that it appears to be.
This is not about what you see is what you’ll get.
This is about who’s first - the tree or the elephant.
Is the tree branch weighting down the elephant?
Or is the elephant weighing down the tree branch?
If the tree is weighting down on the elephant,
then "How so?" – you may ask,
"It defies logic!" You may say,
"It’s impossible for this tiny twig of a tree
to weight down on an entire elephant!"
"Oh!... Perhaps the world is being seen
as upside down
by this elephant?" - I say.
"Disaster!!!!!!" – You may say.
"No!!!!!!" – I say,
"It all depends on how the elephant sees and feels,
for this elephant has good memory:
it remembers the time when he was small
he could swing upside down on the trees
as happy as a monkey almighty.
Now, defying logic…
It is swinging on that tree once again.
Looking at the world upside down is a treat,
for it makes him feel like a smart monkey -
Just hanging around, having fun.
He hasn’t got a worry in the world!!!"
I took this as a call to let ourselves not act so serious or grown up all the time. Sometimes we just need to let go and have some fun. Especially with all the jumbled and rat's nest tree branches (problems) weighing us down. Personally, I'd much rather be the monkey!
AS WE GROW OLDER WE, HOPEFULLY...BECOME WISER AND REALIZE THAT THE THINGS WE DID AS CHILDREN WE CANNOT DO THEM NOW. THE ELEPHANT IS DEFINITELY WEIGHING DOWN THE TREE AND HE HAD BETTER WORRY, BECAUSE THE TREE WILL SOON 'SNAP' AND HE WILL FALL INTO THE VALLEY! THANKS FOR SHARING, MY FRIEND. I see your imagination widening and widening, like a great, lassoing circle of possibility! ~~ Diana
I love logic and sometimes it can be deceiving. This time though, a tree has to be present for an elephant to climb it. That said, I'm glad the smart monkey is having a blast. Patrick

A sweet and fun poem. As May Yu mentioned a children's book
would be fantastic. Having fun defying logic. xx

That's a very interesting tale of the twig and the elephant. Sandie, you can even turn this into a children's story.
Also, the way I see the message is that if you are young at heart, and see the world through a child's eyes, there are no problems that are larger than the twig to weight you down. Children are always happy and not a worry in the world.
This book chronicles an infinite allegoric odyssey of Absolute Awakening in which a learned man, a mute man, and a recluse woman are the principal players. The mute and the recluse are the learned one's Teachers and Guides on his journey of Enlighten
