To walk in the sun we must often creep through the night, this poem although dark is also very insightful and filled with sharp crisp images and emotions. Well done Vick

A leap to anticipated excitement, too frequently ends in miseries disarray. The shield that exists in perception, crushed by the evil hidding just below the surface. Most victims, those unable to defend from the psychological or physical attacks. "All that glitters, is not gold". Very dark indeed. A masterful write Vickie. May peace be always with you. JMW

I find this dark side intriguing in a way. Your words are chosen with class and with the ability to not make the reader feel uncomfortable about visiting a darker side of life. It's edgy and intriguing.

A wee bit of sorrow but not too gloomy; It's fun to take a walk on the wild side. I've found the best poetry tainted some, too many rainbows and ribbons can get ho-hum. Strrretch it baby!

Really wonderful lines within this edgy composition, Victoria! Your muse is untethering the "other side" and it makes for a most interesting read. Very, very nice!
