~Dark Poetry October~
Oh the sweet deliverance of enlightenments
Severed by emotionality of truths
To mount a trophy of deception’s cursed
Upon the mantel wall….
These Bondage of Empowerments
Oh…they really do feel very good….

Psst…..this slain wild boar-hog photo is from my favorite
Authentic German Beer Steub :)
Historic ambiance & also
the Swedish Snitzel tastes great too!!
Pass a stein of brew please…

Finally…

Your memory stroked my thoughts today,
as I looked upon my mantel trophies…
Seeing you there in all the memories;
I embrace this moment;
Like the downy feathers of passion’s fulfillments;
I feel this wondrous profusion…

I rest my desires to know with clarity;
The truth of you;
To remember your tender touch
of thorny lies….

I feel empowered today;
This feels good;
Finally I am set free…

Caressing my softness of thoughts,
I recalled intimately detailed,
your growing excitements of falsity;
…Those exposal’s of spilled deceptions
in your moment of awkward urgency…
Denying me the truth…

…you are so afraid of honesty.

Touching my heart with your deceitful voice;
I swear I can feel you here with me now…
But I look upon my mantel of trophies,
and seeing you there,
 in all those painful memories,
I am pleased to know you cannot hurt me,
 ever again…

You’re there…
mounted…imprisoned where you belong;
On my mantel of truth…a trophy…
A medal of honor for myself…
My valued prize,
for loving the deceptions of you…

I feel so good inside,
knowing I am empowered today;
Thanking Love I can finally see;
Remembering
…the destructive taste
of your desires for me;
Finally I am set free…

And then...the lover will come and the flames of his heart will make your naked skin to blister where each kiss fall, blisters of love, like trophies that one can't treasure but taste each flying moment.
Finally...hot ashes do remember the fire!

Vickie, this write moves freely and philosophically upon this reader. It's a somber enlightening freeing juxtapose of the power of seeing into the complexities of being and realizing that often what we envision is not what really exists. Certainly being hurt sucks, but often we are confused by what is intentional and what is unintentional, and oftentimes we get hurt if we don't get what we want. There is a message in this under the surface that is clearer than the gist. One of your best!

This to me is one of your ultimate bests Vick, I love the simple way it is written with such clarity but also with so much to be thought of in between lines. You weave metaphors cleverly disguised in thie write so perfectly...well done.

I also have one of these trophies,, thank goodness I released all the negativity of that entity! He broke my heart but gave me my freedom, so now I live in the moment and embrace all my positivity!!!

Great poem!
