Eternally Deep
Solitary are silent visions;
If ever we wish to share…
What became of yestereve?
Shadows lurking martyr’s dare…
allotment are confessant rovers
into dreams of hope begot;
Embracing eclectic treasures;
Bounties spread into stars or not…
Like forsaken wishes upon our universe;
Do horses really fly in tales myth?
Falling into a well of deep emotions;
Does the oceanic tide really caress our soul’s gift?
As the eyes of mars smile upon impassioned hearts,
was the quicksand really eternally deep?
…And where do the visions go
of silence…this solitude I keep…

Encore:) I wanted this poem to go on, Vickie. I love the peaceful flow of it, and the rhyme scheme adds to the beauty of each line. Hugs,

"...Do horses really fly in tales myth?..." do whispers really get to be owned? if so, yours have enchanted many ears and, perhaps, one was more equal than the others.

Vickie,
Not sinking in a quicksand of self-consciousness and self-pity but flying high above, soaring.

Soul-searching...an appeal to stay upright as our choice walking across the bridge of wobbly boards opposed to seeing others sinking in their own self-made quicksand. Eternally Deep is affirmation of feeling for another coming face to face with terms when the euphoria of freedom gives way of dissillusionment, reinventing our icons, and defending those treasure of icons of what we really are...Pegasus flies Eternally Deep poetry, Ms. McColley...

I land in your words, like a splash into quicksand...finding everything slow.
It is not just deep, it is thick.
I can't force, but must let these words sink in...or do they take me?

Visions of A Skylark Dressed in Black by Aberjhani
