wherever you may go...
wash your sorrows in love...
or you may become:

Lamentability of Lonely

Memories wrote questions
over answers that where chiseled
on the stones of regret…

She watched them
planting their bones of penitence
with the spade of horrendous grief…

There was a stouthearted man
holding stones in his heart-
which was brittle and vacant with despair. ..

He knelt into his calamitous pools
where he collected his lover’s tear drops.
He kept them every one
safely inside the timelessness
of a sealed hourglass.
It rippled with agony
and the pain of his broken promises…

He opened his secret vaults
where he kept memoirs of betrayal’s truth.
And his own eyes filled with a sense of infinite dismalness
as he unlocked the ghostly memories
which floated about within her echoic voice
like sorrowing wind chimes whispering every nuance
of indomitable sorrow to his heart…

He further drives stakes of misery
inside the fortress of emotional passion.
Offering himself to know
the lamentability of lonely
instead of freedom to have new dreams…

Indeed one of your best as I could feel not only the pain of his loved ones heart but also his own inability to keep from hurting the one he also truly and deeply yearned to love.

Victoria, this is lovely. A bit "deep" for my simple mind, but an enjoyable read, none-the-less. I read you often, your poems seem very prophetic and visionary, however by the time I get done looking up all those big words, I’ve generally lost track of your message. (My problem, not yours) But, I like it and I keep coming back. Please keep it up, Dick
