Ancient city Jordan
Land of Gilead
The Dead Sea shoals churn
Empty of corals and reef
Live fishes plummet
To death in a sea of salt
Food to shores grebes and gulls
Where no birds flock overhead
Jabesh, your death voices echo
Burned and buried alive
Treason and angers of war
Forcing fear through the tribes
your oxen removed in flesh…

Do we not discover
Reading upon yesterday
Plowing through fields
Your groves and brooks
Leading us into narrow valleys
Your significance
Imprinting your memories
As holy chapters bind and bound
Through our descrying eyes
The paths where our soul can sing
To be able to know our choices
And to have our liberation
and personal freedom
To occupy our homes
Without the wicked forces
Claiming our territories…

For to walk in your leather soles
My soul cries to your tribes
My own life can be filled
With appreciation knowing
 the discovery of truth
This inheritance of your scripture
Where grievousness echoes sorrows
Into my heart for you
So I kneel to humanity
Offering your lessons in memory
Filled with appreciation
And the unearthing reality
Flowing with the river in time
Our paths cross as stars
These Kings of Kings
Your roots
Reaching from their graves
The Time of Judges
Murder and carnage…
