Stoking upon the firebricks of his orchard’s deadwood,
simmering in a crockpot urn of Saigon cinnamon sticks
…as the sanguineous delight of Fall
undresses her temperate autumnal limbs,
the aging wood barrels are filled,
seasoning the fermenting Macintosh apples to cider
while the spirit of Fall tartly breathes.
I agree with the 5 points of happiness. I just have to follow them. Writing a poem about cider made me thirdty. As always my dearest friend your writing is excellent.........GOD BLESS YOU and YOURS.....Love YOU Tony.
Ahh . . . Beautifully presented is this wonderful salute to the autumn season. I would have never thought of using cored apples for a holder of cider. Superb!
