A Dying Orchid
the wind blew gently upon my heart's vault
like a rapture pushing against my front door
it battered as an echo knocking against time
opening the recognization of its intrusive presence
my eyes searched for deeper spiritualistic meanings
as emptiness came inside like lost tumble weeds
pricking against my patience like a fortress of briar thorns
reminding me that tears are the nightmare of reality's kisses
strolling along the wake of my living memories
whispering a silent mystery to my tattered soul
as the icy snow begins to fall like soft fresh cotton
floating as tender gestures among my silent thoughts
where my minds eyes are trapped by another's violence
hearing death knells and the horrid screams of murder
I wither like a dying orchid searching for fragrant sunshine
parched by a thirsting need to embrace you forever and always
as the sleet arrives to knock harder on the thresholds of my front door
I opened it with hopeful intentions to see if you were there
and all I could see is the reflective nothingness of today's taunting pain
as you tell me not to cry for you...

This is so deep. I pray it's not you that is wounded. Please read my latest prayer poem "Broken and Wounded" and in the meantime I will put you on my prayer list just in case.
May peace be with you, love pour into your heart and blessings flow over you from the Lords' bounty.
