Forevermore
When the lavender hued, evening windtide, gently kissed my soul
I knew, that I knew, that I would never again be the same
…Change was so much more than a surrendering whisper
Knowing that my heart’s soul could sing such a glorious song
Embracing with you this tender evocative intimacy
Listening closely as your heart speaks to mine
I knew my yesterdays were cocooned by silk dreams
The ones we both spun together with the innocent fantasia of hope
As we neared the clover willows, and the pearlescent moon drops
Whispering our heaven sent secrets to the primrose of infinity
I wandered among the fragrant wild flowers, and honey bees
Listening to the echoic treasures inside your ensuring voice
Never feeling failed among the fragility of my innermost feelings
Wondering if you realize these songs in my heart sing only for you
Embracing the riches of our passions within such a glorious beatitude
Becoming one within this tender stillness of love’s eternal bounty
This treasure trove of lovingness that I have searched my whole life for
Seeking among the endless meadows, and gloriousness of infinite eventides
I wrote your name “forevermore” among the rainbow painted clouds
Beckoned by glimpses of you, chiseled among each dream I dreamed
And here you are…here you are…my most sought embrace…leaving me…

That last line is a killer.

Exquisit poetry.
Lady Mary Ann
Beckoned by glimpses of you, chiseled among each dream I dreamed
And here you are…here you are…my most sought embrace…leaving me…"
Those last three lines make this love poem complete and so, so perfect in every way. This is a great one, Victoria. Well done. And by the way, my oldest daughter's name is Victoria and with a name like that one can do no wrong. ;-)
