Into Your Soul
I wondered intently, why I felt like a silent whisper
A lost shadow among the ageless strangers of belief
Unimportant enough to be held with true compassion
…as if all my love for you was soon to be depleted
And then all those intuitives arrived in a slamming door
Announcing their self as a thieving rue of intention
Channeling the marrows of innate darkness
But, among the meridian bells, it was then I realized
This softening whisper was the echo within my own being
The songs that you thought would be silenced forevermore
…it was as if you knew perditions grave was dug
and this wasn’t about me at all, like I had thought
it was all about you, and your quietus pain that you harbor
These uncertain choices that you didn’t want to accept nor hear
I get it now…I totally understand, as I release you
You couldn’t bare to face the sounds of my heart breaking
The shattering depths of my soul, stolen by misguided trust
This heavy burden of my infectious tears echoing into your soul
Even though the last thing I want is to release you
I will…
I do…
I have…
