Our children don't know what they miss..while glued to the TV!
The cable went out today
And my children began to play!
I mean REALLY play
They did not argue
They did not fight
They even imagined
They were birds in flight!
They laughed and sang
And joked around
I never heard a negative sound
And so at least for today
I got to watch my children play
No MTV
No ABC
No Nick at Night
Did we see
I dare not tell them
The cable came back on
Because this would all be gone
It is a tragedy in my eyes that children are losing the desire to play, to imagine, to have fun together. I honestly think we were better off without today's marvels of technology.

Yep, enjoy the freedom of personal expression as long as you can, they will soon be sitting in front of the television looking and acting like zombies.
Let this coming of age story of a boy named Bean take you back to a simple time. Set in a small southern town in the 1960's, encircled by a river and gleaming white cotton fields.
