Actively the beehive swarms
the skeleton ship-of-the-line

Buzzing reverberation
thieving audible intensity
for arbitrary release

Workers scurry to errands
infesting to order of the crew

Putrid labor embezzles
the unsullied sailor’s vigor

Responsibilities designed to enchain
lingering on trivial tasks
characteristic completion uninvited

And time the sentence of a sailor
adrift in the shipyard

Landlocked
Imprisoned
The spirit of the sea
Estranged while family fights
