DNTL

Lying
slightly beyond
the corridor beckons
No matter my exploit
your blaze probes my signature
manipulated
invaded
altered
devoid of resistance
Frozen

Dancing clock acts like
an aged man needing rest
rejected melodies
tuned out
insist on
assaulting

Filling me
you say as if
no trauma
“All Done”

Carrying scars in progress
my history
your essence
I depart your service

Very touching piece. Phrasing has impact on the reader. Very good. Free verse is one of my favoirte forms. The impact of free verse is how you phrase the lines. ~E
