Puntdicht – a Dutch form of verse similar to an epigram: two lines rhymed, consisting of 22 syllables or less total; first line the statement, second line a witty (?) reaction.
In Fall bulbs are planted under the dirt,
in Spring they come up – daffodils are now pert!
First came March winds, then April showers
if we’re not all drowned, soon will come May flowers!
Trees budded, leaves green, skies are now so blue.
What’s happening? My allergies make me “Aaachoo!”
