What can we learn
from our heritage, families of our past?
Their memories in our minds still burn.
What shall be around the next turn
if our lives we live too fast?
What can we learn?
Is there a future we would spurn,
or one our families could forecast?

so do our lives with a mocking blast -
what can we learn?
Emit the strength you come to earn
from heritage that is so vast;

For their comfort we still yearn;
their lives, our lives, a deep contrast

One needs to take time out for reflection each day.
I found giving up the car, and cycling, walking, one laments and does get back in touch with nature.
Just sitting observing nature, or going to old church's and castles, though the church here was built in 950 AD.
Funny I've wonder from childhood about what the folk were like who walked the same road etc.
