...a villanelle

Watch closely as they stalk with fear;
each movement gives signals for the ear to apprise.
Sadness seeps within the soul of the Seer.

Sights are not all beauty, as they appear:
the forests contain many an unknown surprise
Watch closely as they stalk with fear.

Eyes that are in constant motion, flare.
The unknown beast comes as any guise.
Sadness seeps within the soul of the Seer.

Mingled within the greenery and heavy air,
wild animals come to claim their prize.
Watch closely as they stalk with fear.

Living creatures and flora, all life so dear,
soon may come to a quick demise.
Sadness seeps within the soul of the Seer.

Man, the wild beast, came to the forest, bringing despair
to the beauty that God meant not to jeopardize.
Watch closely as they stalk with fear –
sadness seeps within the soul of the Seer.
