As told in PI form* poetry

How I'm loved

Apples

Some call me pomes.

Delicious

Fruit of the Apple Tree,

also know as Malus sylvestris, of the rose family.

Try me…

I am best plucked at harvest,

some bright red or yellow,

still on tree.

Look for me in orchards,

tenderly cultivated to develop for pies or tarts.

Children climb my trunk, get onto limbs for fruit

not ripened yet…then get  tummy aches.

I’m the fruit that tempted Eve into original sin…

not my fault!

This is very good -- and I learned something, too, about the Pi poem.
Thanks, Jackie!

I spent many a day as a youngster climbing apple trees, and often ate those not quite ripe. It was easier than knocking them off with rocks and sticks LOL. Nice pen

Yep it's apple month in october and I go to apple hill up by Donners pass, where the orchards are. Mile high pie, apple cider, and bushel of mixed apples of evrey kind, etc. One of my favorite times. This poem set the mood for me!;-) Excellent Micke. I'll think of you when I go in a couple weeks....Eileen

I love this...I teach first grade and September is the month for apples. We just made apple butter Thursday, and finished Johnny Appleseed, life cycle of an apple, the list goes on...I would like to borrow your poem and read it next year when I introduce the Apple again in September. I commend you...great write.
Blessings,
Joyce Bowling

Who said that Eve ate an apple? The Bible mentions no fruit. Ah Micke I too love apples and give me an apple pie anytime. The way to my heart. Lovely PI. Victor

Jackie

A delightful analogy of the delicious and scrumptious apple..

My favorite is those slightly acidic green Granny Smith apples...yummy..

And I reckon we will blame the Serpent for the downfall of Adam and Eve..;)

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
