...and we should make the most of it!

As you walk along a lonely path
with thoughts far away from home
keep memories of the ones you love
and you’ll never walk alone.

When life seems oh, so dreary
and it’s hard not to give up,
sip a dose of remembrance
out of love’s warm memory cup.

If you want to remain sad, think only of the bad;
but, for a happier life, file away all the strife.

If we dwell on sadness of the past,
that broke our hearts long ago,
what do we give to our young ones
as their minds form and grow?

Wouldn’t it be so much better
if it’s the beauty we intone,
and keep memories of the ones we love
so we’ll never walk alone.

Never to walk alone in the warmth and love that surrounds us from those who came before. Overtones of joy and pride brign this wonderful piece to life.....

Be always safe,
Karen

Some evening times walking alone in the forest near my home I will hear almost inaudible rustlings following me back there as my guts tells me that one of my men is riding shotgun covering my back.
No, I have felt to be alone among the living, but I was never ever alone surrounded by the spirits of "them".

its all about thought fruit... if you think positive then, even though its really hard to do it sometimes, the reward is that our mindset changes and we find ourselves in a positive thought space. but there are those days when everything within us wants to focus on the yucky and horrid stuff... those days are really hard to make anything of and when we need our friends most.

Super! Really lovely. It's so true about the young ones. What are we giving them? Showing them? Telling them? Cheers
