Fork In The Road

As I take a very slow stroll on a beautiful sunny day,
I feel as if someone is following me.
I pick up my pace and begin to run.
The sun is bearing down on me.
I am so hot and sweaty.
There’s a fork in the road with a fence in the middle.
I am so tired.
I want to rest but I need to continue.
Turning around, I see your shadow and smile.
There’s no better way to go but high up and over

It's good only if you know what's on the other side of the fence. Good thought-provoking piece Marilyn!

WOW! Love this, Marilyn, so much in so little, action-packed and thrillingly creepy, especially the ending!!

I had to laugh at your comment in Peg's review, haha, still smiling 'bout it!

Marilyn,
This one makes you think, and how is that there are always fences, when at first there were none?

Very thought provoking piece!

Hugs,
Maria
