Every year for three hours you are
mine…completely mine, and the
world is ours.
Alone in a green meadow I wait for
you.
You come in on a cool brisk breeze
and take me gently into your arms
As we look into each others eyes
the first kiss we share is light –
you pull me tighter to you
The second kiss is deepened with
the stroke of your hands on my back
The third kiss gets buried deep in our
hearts as a reminder of the love we
share
I feel the want of your body as we cling
tighter to one another.
Your needs are answered by the silent
call of my own desires.
Our hearts are humming, accompanying
the birds in song
Under the bluest skies we make wonderful
love with all the passion and heat of the
sun.
The cool grass and soft earth feels so good
on our moist bodies
We watch the sun dip behind the horizon
and I know it is time for you to go.
Oh, how I have missed you, my love,
No…I won’t cry.
I am so thankful for the time we’ve had,
but I know I must let you go –
and hope with all my heart that you will
return to me next year
So, one last bittersweet embrace before you
disappear with the evening’s cool brisk
breeze
Marilyn,
Beautiful sentiment behind this poem, even if it is once a year, it should be cherished if it makes you feel this good! This was a refreshing treat!
When Miranda Nolan inherits a house she soon discovers a need to solve the mysteries surrounding the late owner along with resolving the strong attraction she feels for a co-claimant who lost his hearing and faces a world of silence.
