The Big Picture

Never think small, it's such a waste
You can do more, but not in haste
You can bide time, but not too much
Or all your efforts will be erased

Another day comes and habits repeat
You might be thinking on your feet
Or quietly wondering what it means
But action's needed on the street

It's all out there for you to see
There's nothing hidden, it's mostly free
The answers to your endless search
Are written in deserts, in clouds and sea

The picture isn't painted yet
But the sun's begun to set
Still time is short and need is great
Don't fear the ocean - dive in, get wet

And if the picture doesn't look great
Recall there was no time to wait
You had to act or nothing would change
So don't despair, march on - it's late!

The picture's canvas is wildly large
You have no words for this mirage
It's dancing, teasing, taunting you
No wonder there is no final charge

Because when painted, this picture defies
All that you held before your eyes
So dear and precious each earthly gem
Until the picture reveals the lies

So patience, yes, and don't let go
All things which come to help you know
The picture in its final form
It's bigger than you, so let it flow
