Doors of Choice

Every day an open door
Which to choose, why aren't you sure?
Because the world grows wilder still
And where's the room which has no flaw?

The corridor twists and turns all day
The paintings all have something to say
First guiding, then perhaps mocking you
As if they want your steps to stray

Take caution on the voice you hear
For only one will guide you clear
Tune in and listen to only this
For close beyond, confusion and fear

This warning today is not to preach
It's simply a note which wants to teach
There isn't a way to do it all
Some things will be beyond your reach

So focus on things which matter now
The rest will come, I can't say how
The universe gives and takes away
Carefully sow then guide your plough

If still you're in the corridor, lost
And walking paths already crossed
Take action! Just remember this:
The doors of choice each have their cost
