When Eagles Dare

The eagle flies high above us all
And even sparrows, 'till death, won't fall
So why do us humans blunder on
Today we run, tomorrow we crawl

We have potential, this much I know
And perhaps eventually this will grow
Yet mostly watching from the lines
We're wondering why life doesn't flow

So try and let the worries go
And find out what you have to show
The world is waiting for your gift
Remove the barriers, let it glow

Yes, face the barrage of human doubt
With all the chaff we can do without
Then gently sort it to one side
And with your talent quietly shout

Is caution wrong in modern times?
Is this among your list of crimes?
You'll find that boldness can be best
But not too much, for life's a test

The test is always on, each day
So try to rise beyond the fray
You know that eagles dare to fly
Why not the likes of you and I?
