A Better Day
Today is time for powerful light
Cast off the shadows of the night
Progressive thoughts and nothing more
Think what the future holds in store
The pain of yesterday now has passed
Such misery could never last
For everything changes out the blue
Power and energy, all is new
Rising upwards, never stop
Ignoring barriers to the top
For everything is possible now
Faith, hope and love don't question how
All systems go, tell every soul
You're surging onwards to your goal
There isn't a single way you'd quit
You weather the storm, all benefit
Success comes to the open and free
Not to the fearful, look at me
My wings are spread and currents are strong
The thermals surging all day long
No stopping the force of this intent
No doubting amidst the mourners lament
Although life's tapestry still weaves all
There's only space for one clear call
The call is good, the race is on
There's no denying the light which shone
By force unseen, all swept away
At last revealing a better day

Like your poem expresses, for the world as a whole, each day is a better day. As time progresses, more upturns than downturns result in a better day. Well, I better go, before it goes away.
