The Money Rules
Money is numbers, little more
You never know what lies in store
The players live in many ways
The games go on through endless days
In searching to improve your lot
Have caution, think of what you've got
The bills need paying, you have to eat
Don't risk too much, you'll end up beat
Confusion in a world of fun
You could stop spending, cut and run
So think quite deeply, make a choice
You have control, you have a voice
Responsible in your daily moves
Your hopes and fears your action proves
The money rules don't change much you see
But money can change both you and me

I know people who put money first in their lives and they aren't very happy. I don't have much money per say, but I am blessed to have what I do have. Thank you for another great poem.
Some interesting thoughts expressed. Money can be merely a medium of exchange like most people view it. The more money one has the more power. But power is not happiness. Money can also be net worth, security, and happiness if it is not given first place in one's life, if living simply and saving rather than indulging in endless consumption.

I know people who put money first in their lives and they aren't very happy. I don't have much money per say, but I am blessed to have what I do have. Thank you for another great poem.
