Today's Poem

On The Edge

So many living on the edge
Now teetering on a narrow ledge
And looking down to the abyss
Still not aware of what they'll miss

Another day of change is near
Hang on some more, defeat your fear
For endless are the chances now
Let goodness come, don't question how

So tragic when the devil wins
We stand amazed each time he grins
But don't waste time with that, my friend
The devil's time will swiftly end

Then look beyond and see what's real
Illusion dies and faith can heal
And truth which lived here all along
Can rise again and bring its song

Remember, then, you can't look down
The only way is up, my clown
For better days now make your pledge
And stop this living on the edge

Faith IS living on the edge and then taking an extra step. Well done!

It's humbling to be down, but it gives us strength to dig ourselves out on our own. The trouble with today's society is that most work out there does not cover expenses and the poor are getting poorer. Until that is corrected, Many more are facing the edge and many more are falling into abject poverty with no hope. A societal change is needed for those people to feel valuable again.
