Watch out for the claw of doom
It could be hiding in your room
It drips with blood and never sleeps
In every silent shadow creeps
The game is on with every day
The claw of doom still wants to play
It's grinning from its hellish pit
You really shouldn't mess with it
So some will run and some ask why
Whilst some will every fear defy
They'll take it on with open arms
Despite its total lack of charms
Remember, then, in peaceful days
That fear can sometimes guide our ways
Although we need to beat the gloom
Don't ever approach the claw of doom

Excellent. You really outdid yourself with this one. Now, whenever I get the 'I can't' 'my work is awful' 'I'll be rejected', I'll think of your Claw of Doom.
Lately, your uplifting poems have started to take a more macabre turn. Maybe that's just a result of trying to come up with a new idea every day, day after day, that is positive and uplifting. I would find that a impossible challenge. Why I write from many points of view. Shifting gears helps me not get bored and rejuvenates me.
Awareness of the unrelenting Claw, not fear, is always a good thing. We can never let negative peeps or things dominate our lives.
I've been busy with a schizolhrenic friend who let the Claw catch and overwhelm her. Now she is on a very long, difficult journey back to stability. Your poem gives us a hint or two of her challening struggles.
Last night, during visiting hours she leaped well pass her catatonic state and started talking in a flood of emotions. She told me that her oldest sister, who i nicknamed The Devil, told her she would have to be locked away, FOREVER, in a mental institution! I believe her brother and other sister told her to stop taking her meds.
