I got nothing against ministries of prosperity when congregations who have building contractors within their midst teach their youth construction skills and then go out into the community repairing homes for the poor free of any charges.

I got nothing against ministries of prosperity when they offer their youth academic educational opportunities to pursue studies after high school graduation in the form of scholarships.

I got nothing against ministries of prosperity when they arrange to provide free health screening for their members and the community in which they serve.

I got nothing against ministries of prosperity when they establish food cooperatives within their membership and community by supporting independent Black farmers who will sell product at bulk prices and the ministries re-sell them at easily affordable prices to their members and the community at large.

I got nothing against ministries of prosperity who provide services to elderly and ill members and community members by periodic checks upon their well being.

I got nothing against ministries of prosperity who distribute the ten per cent they frequently request of the membership right back in the communities in which they are housed.

I got nothing against ministries of prosperity who are more concerned with spiritual building than enhancing real estate development which don’t address the housing needs of the poor and homeless.

I got nothing against ministries of prosperity whose membership fills the church bus weekly with members going to visit those in nursing homes and hospitals especially VA hospitals.

I got nothing against ministries of prosperity who realize whose funds over which they are custodians.

God doesn’t require ministries of bling and all shiny things like Bentleys, and Rolls , airplanes and limos.

Dedication, meditation, action, love, and helpful congregations are the cornerstones of a more perfect design of ministries of prosperity.

Ministries which get it together amidst sunny and stormy weather and show the world of our love of God more truly reflect oriented ministries of prosperity.

M-O-P today and the world will recognize a true and lasting ministry of prosperity.
