Narrow View
 
Pinned,
the balance sheets
have no hospital corners
and I can't bounce quarters
or make sense of the half of this.
 
Confined,
the brick walls
grow higher than sky
and I can't scale concrete
or weigh any viable options.
 
Resigned,
the bored directors
gave up on this script
and I can't remember my lines
or which side of the stage is exit.
 
Undermined
the support beams
reflect back the fog
and I can't see any light
or figure a way out of this tunnel.

As a self styled want to be poet and a semi almost professional back ground actor this write intriqued me and caught my interest with all kinds of wonderful thoughts springing up from each verse. Enjoyed.
