Out and Out Loud

Have you ever, ever
in your long-legged life
kept your head
down, down, down
instead of
facing your own
damn life?

I miss poetry.
I miss feeling my being.
I miss all the things.

Too many years
I ran fast and low
under the radar,
dropping my pen,
tearing up the paper,
until I could find
an indelible marker.

I think it's time you start riproaring loud poetry of your fondest wish. Let it happen and you'll be very happy.

I've always been loud and proud. Every poem is a great relief. I let that thought out. I nailed it. Maybe it isn't perfect, maybe it isn't appropriate and maybe nobody likes it. But I don't care. I'm happy.

You could be there, too.

I relate. The whole creative process is ebb and flow and at times frustrating. Still... the process needs persistence, and despite how we browbeat ourselves at times, remind yourself that every word matters, even when the process feels heavy and fruitless, and that you matter, and that no one else has your voice. Press on. All the best. Peace.... r

Omega Factor by John Henning

Take some time to walk outside of your own mind and into another, walk slowly and carefully; the mind that you step on might be your own.
