There is no sound of motors,
just the sound of rustling leaves,
and birds singing,
the sight of a rabbit,
hopping in the distance.

Love floats in the air.

What's that I hear as I walk?
The hissing of a small waterfall.

See the robin's orange underbelly,
as she files.
*
Fly robin, fly!
*
Hey, Toto, I don't think
we are in captivity anymore.

I'm stuck in this wonderful place.

Poetic musings penned, yet again, from my 10-year-old in her imaginative view of our backyard on a summer's evening.  Gee, I really need to get outside more often.  It seems the muses are everywhere of late! Yet my nose is stuck to the computer screen with work.  It's a very good thing I have someone who can bring all this splendor to my desk, a reminder of what's out there when you finally get a day off!
