I am all for women's liberation and rights but I don't think that these singers are thinking of that on stage, thus the reference. Yes, they have the right to push the envelope but what are they really doing?
What kind of message are you sending out? You supposed women's liberation naked freedom types with your barely there, show it all fashions and your porn-esque videos that sell yourself. Aren't you supposed to be selling the music you sing? Or, is the music just a backdrop for the clothes you fling? What are you telling young girls that success is all about?-- selling their young beautiful bodies for fame and money? Isn't that the same thing, as prostitution? If you are a good enough singer, you wouldn't have to strip. So put on some more clothes and we'll see if you're equipped to make it big on talent alone, instead of selling sex on stage.

How come I didn't see this one sooner. Now, I am going to show my daughter this! Now maybe she will believe me--lol! THIS IS EXCELLENT! I found my 12 year old trying to do 4000 crunches a day because she was watching a special on Britney on MTV about her. Wonderful huh? I agree 110% with Alexander here as well as the other reviewers. This work shows the author and moral values --better how society praises the "UNnorm" beautifully!
Amen. Hopefully they will read this and take it to heart.

Kudo's to you.. Its so true.. their "statements" have had an overwhelming impact on todays youth. Look at the clothes the kids are wearing - in order to look like their favorite stars. Its so sad to see 12 year olds trying to imitate that look. :( And fashion designers play on that as well.

Bravo! I agree, and have written articles about this same topic. It isn't talent , it's GREED POWER MONEY, and it's the COMPANIES LIKE COKE PEPSI ETC that sponsor them that's where the breakdown of society came in when sponsors paid millions for these stars and sports figures. Like the sports illustrated swimsuit edition is in the same category. It's all MONEY show me the money honey!
I am so glad you see these antics in the same way as I do. For years I had personally boycotted the sales gimmics of certain celebrities who used sex and or the extremes of behavior to sell their records or merchandise to the most vulnerable (gullible) buyer (who were, generally, the young preteens and teens). The message sent was devastating, pushing the envelope of style and behavior for the sake of the almighty dollar at the expense of societies decency.
