my poem "Celebrations And Passages In Life" is about all the students graduating from a High School, College or University and the new beginnings and adventures heading their way.
CELEBRATIONS AND PASSAGES IN LIFE The pomp and circumstance has ceremoniously commence The speakers have spoken Imparting their life's gained wisdom The graduates have filed and procede Their ribboned diploma's received When the caps and tassles go flying And the cheers and applause resounding And fireworks take off and fly Lighting up a dark night sky Heralding a very new beginning With new adventures coming

I had this thought about "Celebrations And Passages In Life" for over a month, But when I wrote it out....Instead of an "Aire Of Seriousness", I tried to be "Lighthearted And Breezy" in my nwording....And yes, Ron....When I graduated from High School & Tech School I was working part time in a Drug store and mowing neighbors yards....So I already had a great work ethic....And still do....

It certainly is a heady time. Especially if family and friends gather around and either go to the ceremony or join in the party afterwards celebrating a whole new stage of life. Some take to that stage easily, get jobs and move on. Others struggle because they had been coddled and cared for up to this point without responsibility except to study and learn. Reality, for some who are not independent enough, is about to hit them squarely between the eyes.
