My prose / poem "The Incrowd Clique" is about those groups of people whose Inner Circle makes life difficult for everyone else who is not a part of it....
People join cliques (gangs, clubs, political parties, etc., etc.) as protection from all those entities out there that seem to be a great danger. But by joining these cliques we become the insiders and therefore, closeout others. It's a vicious cycle that hard for us to break free from.
Contraband Marriage, traveling along the hemline of loving after incarceration, is a love story written in lyric and free form, set in reality with a different ever after.
