There's the science of grief, and then there's the reality. Revised and reposted.
Hearts Hurt Scientists say the heart hurts When emotions hit the brain. If oxygen flow changes, Heart muscle feels the pain. Doctors say the heart hurts Only in our minds. The pain we feel is anxiety Brain to heart, an unbroken line. Friends tell us that all heartache Can be overcome with talk. Spill the grief, excise the wound, Find an opening for the shock. I can�t explain the feeling When my heart�s pain makes me wince. I understand the science of grief, Still, all has altered since. Copywrite, 2007, Eileen Clemens Granfors

One to three ~ situations matched ~ the general picture: One deals on the bio-electric- shock; one explains the bio-psycho-physiology; one shows the souls' remedy for ineer weakness; and the last one shows the conflict with the reality of the feeling. (The closing of last stanza probably requires a revision...) "Hearts Hurt" strikes scientific thoughts.

I have enjoyed the reading of "Hearts Hurt".
