You carried me when pain was hot imbedded ‘cross my brow… When sorrows dwelled on countenance still me you saw somehow. With scars upon my pallid face from tears that ran too long… You saw the things I couldn’t see yet you knew all along. When memories were ancient tombs that haunted yesterday… It was your love that pierced my soul and burned these ghosts away. While I sufficed to live and breathe within my own demise… Your honesty enabled me to open up my eyes. No more to glean the emptiness of every broken dream… But to embrace the fabric weaving life at every seam. To gather hope from faded days that should be dead and gone… For it’s in looking back that gives the strength to carry on. To rise above these failures that I never could forgive… You’ve given me the freedom to allow myself to live.

Brilliant... very inspirational. Really did speak to the reader. I especially loved it when you said that there were scars on your pallid face from tears that ran too long. That was ingenius! Just great write and read here. Loved it.

When memories were ancient tombs
that haunted yesterday…
It was your love that pierced my soul
and burned these ghosts away.
Such a wonderful description of low self-esteem and feelings of past failure. This is so well crafted. Excellent writing.
