Poem Artwork

Let's play a game!

My role is to give you my heart, body and a piece of my soul and your role is to take it all and treat me like your enemy!

If I'd realized the odds were in favor of you winning I would have held back more.

But you convinced me to jump in head first and I did.

Your role was to be master and my role was to serve your needs without any reward.

Of course I was more than happy to accommodate you.  All I asked was that I be loved in return.  That seems fair.

Darn! Lost again!

In your eyes, I really never had a role in your life. I am not "it".

This is no fun!  You keep changing the rules.

I want to take my love and play by myself.

Or at least find someone who knows how to play fair.

As powerful and deep as your last poem "Questions". There is nothing as empowering as collecting yourself and moving on. Great one, Blackberry!

God bless,

Sandie.

Right on and if this is a follow up to your Questions poem this is truly the right attitude to take. Well said.

Thanks for your comment. I am still trying to work through some raw emotions. I am on a journey :-)
