My world has been white-washed baptized with snow from the top of the mountains to the valleys below… If I listen in the stillness I can hear a gentle hush as snow falls through the branches of the overgrown brush In the softly mounded snow the hoof prints of the deer that come to drink the water are beautifully clear And underneath the whiteness lies the promises of Spring that bring my mind to Easter and the blessings that it brings

Cryssa,
This poem is a beauty. I remember when we lived in West Virginia during a couple of winters. Our townhouse sat atop a large hill and just off our patio, there was a very steep, probably half a mile long, drop to the foot of said hill. The entire area was wooded and for several years, there was a three-legged deer that hobbled around. I always felt sorry for the deer, given his situation, but he always seemed to make the most of it.

Thanks for making me think of that creature. Happy Easter and thanks for sharing your poem. I really enjoyed it.
