Splendid Spirit-given poem! Paul and Silas once knew this imprisonment. They were caged, but their hearts sang and a jailer was saved in the process. Skillfully told. I like it a lot sister!

I can relate to this as sometimes, when I let the chronic pain condition I have get to me, I feel just like a prisoner to my body, caged, as you say- but then I remind myself to sing and think of the things I can still do, and sing about those instead of worrying about the bars of the cage. Love this, to my library.

I hope your little one is better. This could almost be called song of the caring mother the metaphor is so strong, but beautiful, too. There is certainly a great uplifting in the care of somebody who loves you....Jerry

Sing-sing-sing! I love your little songbird too, Cryss! I just take exception with that last word-- I've never liked it. To me it will always sound like "a sewage". That having been said, I know she'll treasure this poem. --Aunt Charlie
