Christmas morning spent with my husband and his mom...
Memories from yesteryear Pulled from a shelf Dusted off, and made clear A picture of my mother's smiling face A joyful reflection at having all her "jokers" in her space And so what all Christmases now bring Is a reminder of being in the presence of my mom, my Queen. Looking back over that time Returns my thoughts to present mind My Greg, Mama Frances and I A cup of coffee, a muffin, a peaceful morning sky Again, I see the reflection of a joyful face As evidence of the love from her children covers her space I am blessed, Christmas morn, 2013 For God once again placed me in the presence of another Queen... Mama Frances.

There is nothing like being with our loved ones during the holidays. It brings us much closer.

Distance keeps me from being with my mother, but our thoughts remain together.
