Roses

Often things are forgotten in the humdrum of the ordinary day. Silently we suffer at the loss of things we forgot and in the future we are trying to create.

"Roses"

Inside the humdrum of morning
She forgets she is beautiful
Blurring together each moment
In the wilted dreams of someone else
Hope slowly draining into apathy
Sleep walking through the days
Ignoring the pain that splinters her heart
She twists her words with roses
Wrapped around her wrists
Thorns lightly pricking her skin
Opening her eyes to the sun
Breathing light into the darkness
Pouring petals out the fuchsia of her lips
Roses bloom inside her heart
Cultivated by the beauty of strength

Nothing like roses and the perfume they give off. Such a compelling write, I just loved it. To have roses blooming within your heart is so compelling. Then pouring out petals of fuchsia of her lips. all this gives beauty of strength. So compound a write but very understandable.

Such beauty wrapped inside the rose..so delicate and fragrant
so innocent yet when touched it pricks the finger
leaving us open to hurt and
bleeding from our hearts.
a rose is vulnerablility
the petals last only a short while
a metaphor for attraction
to take the moment and
live it sweetly
like the rose...

Why do we forget our hopes and dreams? Why do we forget ourselves? These questions come to my mind. And I wonder how she found her roses...
