Open my eyes

And pain is my vision

Take a deep breath

And all I breathe is misery

My nostrils clogged

From the stench of the earth

And as I take it all in

I realize we need more

More than a mediocre education

More than a 9-5 to try and make it

More than a risky hustle in the streets

More than just degrading words with tight beats

More for my people in the struggle

More for little girls without mothers

More for young men trying raise themselves

More for people who only know the path to hell

My ears are open alert to the world

But all I hear are lies and profane words

My bodies numb so I can't feel

Cause it seems like every touch

Is full of pain with the intentions to kill

I can't keep living in this dead end

I'm lookin for a remendy

So tell me where it is

I pray to God that this democracy ends

We been living life like its ours to live

But its not cause we Gods soldiers

Living in lifes war full of pain and glory

We sacrifices so we got to be strong

And if we dont fulfill our will

Then we just lost souls

Empty vessels living in vain

Roaming the earth with nothing to gain

Raising our children to live the same

And if we don't take action now

Who's to blame
