As though no end lay in sight
Storms so strong and wild
Heaven's winged children sought a shade
In homes and rocks down below.
Bereft of hearts and minds,
Streets hide and trees quiver
From natures wild and harshest course
Deserted streets and bitterest cold
Torrents of rain and smashing winds
Surging bellows of the Atlantic
Trees, homes, emblazoned structures
Bashed by nature's rude and rarest monstrosity
For days and days, and many days
But lo, t's over at very last
So is life in this terrestrial ball
Sometimes stormy, cold
And very scary bleak
Else cheery, jolly and mighty sublime
We look beyond the smoldering summit
Of a harsh and stormy day
To the hopes and bliss of dear tomorrow
