The tongue of wisdom rests in the cheek
Mistake it not for the tongue of the meek
It observes, ponders, relates, then seasons
Before it boldly moves to roll with reason
Impetuously wagging tongues seldom seek the why
From mouths with false masks, they too often fly
To ponder, wonder the who, what and when
Is the domain of the noble sage then
Hesitancy is not a role played by the inept
Forays into the unwise should have been kept
Dwelling long in the house of silence
Better than to suffer with costly recompense
The wise tongue will hang in air, pensive
Rather than wag when foolishness is too expensive
To wag or wag not
Think about it a lot
