Quietly as a cotton tissue it unfolded
Each feint expertly crafted to deceive
Peerless their disguise
Only the blind could have recognized
Beyond blue skies and sandy beach
Diverse, incomprehensible their reach
Rhymes and twisted verse spreading
But is there time enough to educate
Compensation inadequate to succeed
Veiled threats whispered to the deaf
The manuscripts of the blind, left behind
Not in view on the battlegrounds
Words scribed lacking all clarity
Their origin never seeking parity
What is to be left by you and me
Not the legacy we'd want it to be
But thus it is deigned
No mercy planned for us
And so, let the game begin
Nascent strategist we'll never be
Mighty warriors not our concept
Cloaks and aura our only armor
Damned battle, we'll not win
Christine
Well written though.
