Compassion's Rules

Compassion, begets compassion.

Bate this night

and all of the nights

of all of the tomorrows

in Camelot's peaceful glow

throw down no gauntlets

lest they be

love's enduring reprieves

marches shall be only those of parity

peer to peer

no gain marked in the ledger

nor tears dripping from eyes of despair

this then be my good night's

solitary prayer

I love the theme and the manner by which you express it in your verses here, Jon. Thank you for sharing dear friend. And thank you for your most insightful interpretation of "Bird Fall." Love, peace, and best wishes to you,

Regis

Peace is better than war. War does not defeat evil, it prolongs it.

Jon,
A prayer for all of us to recite daily, some will say a forlorn hope, but I admire your will to try and to fight for the order of a higher kinder consciousness.
