the kiss she blew my way
drifted and silently merged
into the compassionate currents
of an angel's breath
tenderly embracing my cheek
and gently caressing my soul
would that I could forever hold
in abeyance the wonder of the moment
my mind went 'round in carousel circles
the missteps of my heart's rhythm
thump thumping an alert
for tender romance come my way
late on that day as March waned
Spring dare not have it
any other way
blossoms were caressing the trees
jealous robins sought parody
owls, sages of the darkness
hooted their jealous messages
for it was I that had received
the kiss, she blew my way

I love the flow of this poem. That kiss seemed to be in slow motion as the reader journeys with it. Beautifully expressed. Hugs,
Sheila

She took your heart too, as I feel in this romantic expressive poem!
Such eloquent stunning beauty you delicately had a way of writing it!
The Kiss She blew my way, as this poem blows me away! The way you added the robins, and owls (sages of darkness and knowing through their spiritual messages) behooves me, I found it thrilling!

Write On!

Jon,
Joy and tenderness and the excitement of love run all the way through, and at half way you raise it to another level, Nature's jealousy..."owls, sages of the darkness hooted their jealous messages" (wonderful!) of your success and being the chosen one. Not only were you blown away, we are.
