There is No Doubt
I never thought the day would come,
That dad would smile again.
His shattered life and broken heart,
I thought would never mend.
When he was at his lowest
And cared no more for living,
The memory of you was given to him,
And I'm sure God did the giving.
Ever since that special day,
You came into his life,
You gave him back his smiles,
And took away his strife.
I can't believe the difference
Or how it makes me feel,
To see him happy again,
And to know his heart has healed.
I love you for all you've done for him,
And for all of us as well.
You gave me back the father I knew,
For that I think your swell.
To see two lonely people finding
Happiness with each other,
Brings a smile to lips, a tear
To my eye, followed closely by another.
I have no doubt that God was there
to lend a helping hand,
In giving a very special woman to
A very special man.
Welcome to our family,
Where you'll hold a special place.
I hope we make you happy,
And keep those smiles on your face.
But just remember one thing,
No matter what we do.
You’ll always be special to us and
We all love you.
I wish you all the happiness
That life can surely give and
Hope there's no more sorrow
As long as you both shall live.
No, there is no doubt that
God picked you for my dad,
For there could be no other
Who could make his heart so glad.
Just one more thing I'd like to say,
You're always in my prayers and
If you ever need me
Just call and I'll be there.
