Sometimes we blame the person that hurt us, but sometimes we should thank them too.

Poem Artwork

You Are to Blame!

You have left a hole in my heart that will never heal.
I’ve tried to repair it with lots of iron and steal.
But nothing can fix it no matter how hard I try.
It keeps getting bigger and bigger, ‘til I think I will die.

There will be nothing left of this heart of mine.
If I don’t find a way to cure it, it will flat line.
How could this happen, how could you leave?
How could you make my loving heart grieve?

Someday soon, hopefully it will heal from this pain.
And it will repair the hole you made & be whole again.
But until it does it keeps beating the sound of your name.
It’s very angry and accusing you, it thinks you are to blame.

Ultimately my heart finally healed and mended, it has no more pain.
Thank you for taking the blame or I would have never found love again.
It’s a lasting, beautiful love and this man’s the one who made me whole.
His love healed me where I was broken and he filled my battered soul.

Nothing like a bit of time thrown in to heal the love pain.

Thank you Tony

I enjoyed the way you reflected on your failed love not as a negative but as a positive for leading you to a newer and better man to love and hold as your own. Well done.

You know,I've never been in a relationship before in my life, but I can honestly say that I can somehow relate to this poem.I used to like this woman and to make a long story short, she not only went back to her jealous boyfriend, but on her birthday she decided to end our friendship. That happenend 4 years ago.To be honest with you,it was a blessing in the sky because I don't need people like that to be a part of my life and want to take my kindness for granted.

Sometimes when someone hurt your feelings in a relationship,it can be a blessing in the sky because pain can bring hope for a new tomorrow and find love when you least expected it.I'm glad that you found someone special that can heal your wounds and put a blanket over your heart so that it can be filled with warmth and love.Take good care of yourself Bonnie.

Love and Hugs

has an ex-sniper i will say that the hole was made by a mean 50mm from about 200 yards, a little longer away and there would have been only a hole; the gal with that hole could retribute with a 400 yeards that will take off the dark heart of the SOB!

Bonnie,

I could feel your pain. But sometimes it takes pain before we actually find joy. I'm glad you did.

Love the last two lines; true love can definitely heal.

And I'm very glad this poem wasn't about that Jersey Devil. When I saw that picture, I immediately thought of Alien!

Oh dear Bonnie!!! What is wrong??? Don't die please!!! Sometimes we have soft hearts and so easily let another hurt us. I'm glad you're mended at the end.

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
