I’m Not Ready Yet

I’m not ready to stand before you Lord, tell what you see.

And tell me my loving Savior what you want and expect of me?

I try to live by your teachings and forgive those offenses against me.

But sometimes it’s so hard my Lord, is this how it should be?

Your teachings are so clear and written in your blood.

I want to be that beautiful flower that grows from a tiny bud.

Yet I get misdirected & lose my way Lord on this road I take.

And sometimes I get weary and sometimes I even break.

So tell me Lord what I can do to never let you down.

And I promise Lord I’ll keep my faith safe and sound.

I will spread your teachings so that others will know.

How they can flourish also and how they can grow.

“Oh my searching child, it’s all there, right in front of you.”

“I gave you freedom of will, but I also gave you the Bible too.”

“So keep on reading and it will all become clear someday.”

“You’ll know what I expect of you; your doubts will be washed away.”
